The Penthouses on Central Park
With the expansion and renovation of the 1 Hotel Central Park, RC INC was tapped to design the green spaces and add life and living art to the 5 new Penthouse suites and terraces. Keeping the brand’s sustainability mission in mind- We used reclaimed wood from the coney island boardwalk and pine flooring from an 1890 factory being torn down on Pearl Street in lower Manhattan to make the pergola, divider walls, hallway art and planter boxes, The linear planter boxes were made from recycled fiberglass and cement. We added over 200 plants to the NYC skyline. Adding 150 bee attracting Ilix to the buildings crown alone
